Last weekend the new Zend.com website was launched. I am very proud to say that it is WDE powered! WDE (Web Development Environment) is our content management system, based on our business framework ATK.
From our partnership with Zend we learned that Zend was searching for a new CMS. Soon after a demo of WDE a couple of the Zend.com team members came over and we had a nice week of training, discussion and thinking. After this week Ibuildings advised Zend on the implementation of new functionality in WDE. The Zend team developed some awesome functionalities and proved our statement of the flexibility and ease of adoption of WDE and ATK. Within a tiny amount of code the Zend team connected to their other business applications. Also, several parts of Zend Framework were used in the site (Zend Framework and WDE/ATK can coexist very nicely). Besides the development of new functionality, the Zend team made some improvements on a number of WDE modules.
For me, as the Product Manager for WDE and ATK, the fact that Zend.com uses WDE proves that it has an enormous potential. It is a confirmation of the strength of one of our products. It's a nice way of seeing that we're doing a good job  We are still working on the open source release of WDE. Expect more on this soon. Share         Reacties

I wrote about the opensource release of WDE and was wondering if there is any news from the front?
Looking for a ZEND framework based CMS for a year now and this promises to be everything I have hoped for. Kind Regards |
