The UK seminars always have a nice lineup of topics and speakers, and it would be cool to see this happen in the Netherlands too. Ideas for future seminars could be everything QA-related (testing, continuous integration) or enterprise-level deployment strategies, which is already partially covered by Lorna's excellent Subversion talk. Comparing and combining Zend products (Zend Platform debugging or caching) with other alternatives (xdebug, apc, memcache) is also interesting.

Indeed a very interesting idea to participate in topics focused on enterprise PHP development. Since I'm co-founder of the Belgian PHP user group PHPBelgium, we got lots of feedback from our community members regarding this question. There's a huge interest for the following topics:
Although these items are more software enginering topics, I think that the lack of genuine software engineers within the PHP community makes these topics very usefull (no offence to the PHP developers who are software engineers). |
